It has the Snowdome
The Snowdome is Europe’s first indoor real ski slope – opening in 1994.
It’s incredibly fun. And residents of Tamworth find it conveniently located just off the A5.
If you consider yourself an adventurous person, or reckon you could get into skiing as a hobby, then this could be a big reason to move to Tamworth.
The slope is 170 metres long, so is certainly suitable for the thrill-seeker. There’s also a learner slope if you’re just starting out.
It also boasts an ice-rink, a swimming pool and a gym. When you’re done with your activities for the day, visit the bar, shop or Starbucks.
Other Great Days Out
If you’re not sold on skiing, perhaps you will be by the many other things there are to do in Tamworth.
Drayton Manor Theme Park is also based here, and is a fantastic day out for the entire family.
It has over 100 rides and attractions for you to enjoy. Particularly perfect for a day out during the summer school holidays.
Another day trip we’d recommend is to Tamworth Castle. It features murder mysteries, ghost tours, and other exciting events.
All of these activities are loved by adults and children, which is what makes them so family friendly, and Tamworth such a family friendly town.
