Buntingford is officially the smallest Town in Hertfordshire, but many would say has the biggest heart. As you walk through the Town you would be forgiven for thinking you are in a small Village, with the regular “hello” as you pass people in the street. A true community with Town Hall, Civic Centre, Swimming Pool, great football culture for all ages, schools all with good Ofsted rankings and low levels of crime.
The High Street has a wealth of individual shops and period buildings, most dating from the Tudor period with many having facades updated during Georgian and Victorian Times. The Town is well known for its Bi annual Carnival, annual Car Show, and the Lights of Love ceremony combined with Christmas Street Market.
The surrounding area is very rural with both arable and livestock farming. The area is renowned for its equestrian centres, with many properties boasting paddocks.
The area to the North of Buntingford, known locally as the “Hertfordshire Heights” has a selection of sought after Villages, all with their own quaint character. To the South there are several more Villages and the Town of Ware. To the East and West are further selections of Villages all served well by the excellent road network.
The Buntingford area is served well by road with good links to both Stanstead and Luton Airports and mainline rail stations in Ware, Royston and Stevenage all within easy driving distance and only 40 minutes to central London.
