The nearest London underground station is just over a mile away at Manor House, and it’s on the Picadilly line. Stoke Newington has a London Overground station, which gets locals to the city in just 20 minutes, and has four services to Liverpool Street each hour. Stoke Newington is also renowned for its markets. Broadway Market runs every Saturday and has everything from locally sourced fruit and veg to designer clothes. Netil market provides the perfect opportunity to relax with a coffee and a good book, and it’s also a great place to meet friends for brunch. There are additional pop up stalls on the weekend, and with its own micro-brewery and music, it’s a great place to go at the weekend.

Rasa is a vegetarian Keralan restaurant that gives incredible value for money, and Itto restaurant serves up tasty pan-Asian food and it’s been open in Stoke Newington since the 90s.
If you’re after a traditional pub, The Jolly Butchers has a great atmosphere and an amazing range of craft beer, and Auld Shillelagh is an Irish pub with fun themed nights and sports screenings. When heading out for cocktails, the award-winning Original Sin bar is definitely worth a visit.

Clissold Park is a lovely local park that has a mini zoo in the middle of it, and Clissold House’s café serves light refreshments. Abney Park is a large, beautiful 18th-century cemetery that’s one of the Magnificent Seven cemeteries in London. There are often music events and entertainment put on here, and plenty of workshops too, such as stone carving, woodwork, and conservation management.
