Local Options In South East England

It would be fair to say things change quite quickly at the moment. At the start of the lockdown period, a lot of companies vowed to stay open and serve the local community. Sadly, circumstances change, which means some firms have had to close for now, although we hope that it won’t be too long until local shops can serve the community once more.

At Hunters Forest Hill, we are proud of the local communities we serve, and we know there the hard work and effort put in by companies. If you are looking for services to be delivered to your door, or you just want to know who is still operating, we are happy to provide you with some options.

Bakery services can brighten up a tough day

There will likely be debates as to what is essential and what is nice, but there is no getting away from the fact that life often seems better with a hot drink and a pastry treat. This is why bakery deliveries are likely to be well received.

The South East Cakery & Café in East Dulwich, and Gail’s Bakery, serving Dulwich and Blackheath are well worth checking out if you need a pick-me-up.

Beer and wine deliveries are a handy idea

Again, there is a debate to be had as to whether alcohol is an essential item, but again, in these challenging times, many people will look forward to a pleasant drink at the end of a stressful day. 161 Food and Drink offers free deliveries to SE postcodes.

Bottlecave in Sydenham provides free local delivery, meaning you can enjoy craft beer and wine at home. Tiger Vines in Peckham is offering a delivery service twice a week, and this will increase if there is heightened demand. You can also check out the General Store in Peckham, who have a click and collect wine service on offer.

Have a butchers at local companies serving the community

When it comes to taking care of your loved ones, you want to make sure you are eating well. Local butcher stores are still operating, with some even being open for collection. Flock & Herd in Peckham is delivering daily in SE5, SE15 and SE22. You can also visit the store and collect orders in person.

William Rose in East Dulwich is offering a collection service from 126 Lordship Lane.

If you would instead enjoy some fresh fish, Moxons Fresh Fish is open as usual, and they are also delivering.
