The housing industry re-opened in mid-May, but it has taken longer for many other industries and establishments to get started. Many people breathed a sigh of relief about pubs being allowed to re-open, and you will find a few options in West Hampstead if you are looking for a night out, or just a few hours out of the house!
The Railway is open for food and drinks but you need to book
The Railway, at 100 West End Lane, NW6 2LU is a pub well known for offering a great range of food options, and of course, plenty of drinks! Whether you are out for brunch or lunch, or you plan on spending a great night there, you can do so again.
The Railway posted on their Facebook page; “Our doors are now open and we cannot wait to welcome you back to your favourite local. In order to guarantee your table, don’t forget to book before visiting via our website or the app.”
Follow Alice for a great night out
Alice House West Hampstead, at 283-285 West End Lane, NW6 1RD re-opened on July 4th. If you are looking for a cocktail and a slightly classier night out, you will find Alice House to be a suitable option.
Go through The Mill
Another option to consider for a drink in the local area is The Mill, which you will find at 40-42 Mill Lane, NW16, 1NR. The pub re-opened on the 6th of July and they are excited to say their pub quiz is returning on the 16th of July. As there will be limited availability at this time, the bar is offering bookings for the quiz.
Hopefully you will find there are more than enough suitable options to enjoy a drink with friends or family members in West Hampstead.
Follow the recommended guidelines
Anyone looking to ensure they comply with guidelines when returning to their favourite bar should consider the following points:
· Being asked to use hand sanitiser or handwashing facilities as you enter
· Booking required with some pubs restricting your time
· Contactless-only ordering from tables, such as through an app
· No loud music live gigs or sporting events that will encourage raised voices
· No vertical drinking (customers have to be seated)
· One person in the toilet at a time
· Table service instead of ordering at the bar
· Tables two metres apart and customers one metre apart
· Your details may be recorded for NHS track and trace
More information on the guidelines for visiting the pub can be found on the Government website.
