World’s Tallest Block of Flats Go on Sale at £1.4m
Have you ever wished you could live in a luxury apartment on the 117th floor overlooking the Arabian Sea? Well now you can!
The world’s tallest residential skyscraper is situated in Mumbai and still under construction, but the luxury apartments inside have already gone on sale in London, with property developers targeting the wealthy residents of Mayfair.
The “World One Tower” has been built by Indian developers, Lodha, and has cost £250m. Once it has been completed, the tower will offer 300 homes that are spread over 117 floors.
The interiors of these incredible flats have been designedby Giorgio Armani and will start at £1.4m each. The apartment block comes with a swimming pool, gym, and health club, but unlike many other residential blocks of flats it also comes with a cricket pitch and a pavilion.
The penthouse apartments at the top of the 1,450ft tower block were designed by architects Pei Cobb Freed and Partners, the same company responsible for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington.
The block of flats won’t be completely finished until 2016, but estate agents are keen to start marketing the apartments in London, with some of the 3-bed flats costing the same amount as a one-bed apartment in Mayfair.

Each apartment in the World One Tower comes with a huge reception room, a kitchen/breakfast room, deluxe en-suite bedrooms, stunning bathrooms and access to the leisure complex at the base of the tower.
Developers, Lodha, are also currently working with Donald Trump to create another luxury development in the same area. These buildings will come as a stark contrast to the slums that many of Mumbai’s residents currently live in.
